Mix Scents

Mix Scents is a commercial retail interior design project in Dubai, focused on creating an immersive perfume shopping experience with clear circulation, product display, and a refined material palette suited to a luxury fragrance brand.

The brief called for a boutique atmosphere that balances brand presence with practical retail layout — from entrance and consultation areas through to display, sampling zones, and checkout. We developed a spatial strategy that guides customers through the collection while keeping staff workflows efficient behind the counter.

Material selection emphasised warm timber, soft lighting, and reflective accents that complement glass bottles and packaging without overpowering the product. Custom joinery was designed for modular display so the boutique can refresh seasonal ranges without structural changes.

Lighting design layered ambient, accent, and task levels to highlight hero products and create depth along the shop floor. Acoustic comfort was considered so conversation at the fragrance bar remains private despite an open layout.

Documentation included layout drawings, joinery details, and finish schedules prepared for Dubai contractor coordination — typical of our commercial interior design delivery across the UAE.

The finished boutique supports both walk-in discovery and assisted consultations, with clear sightlines from entrance to hero displays. This project demonstrates how retail interior design in Dubai can elevate a specialist brand without sacrificing operational efficiency.
