Modern Space
Modern Space is a commercial office interior design project in Dubai, covering reception design, workplace layout, meeting rooms, and coordinated finishes for a professional client environment that reflects a contemporary corporate identity.
The reception sets the tone for visitors — combining a sculptural desk, integrated storage, and layered lighting with a clear sightline into the workplace beyond. Wayfinding and brand graphics were woven into the architecture rather than applied as afterthought signage.
Workspace planning balanced open collaboration zones with enclosed meeting rooms and quiet focus areas. We specified durable flooring, acoustic partitions, and MEP coordination early so ceiling layouts support both lighting and HVAC without compromising the clean aesthetic.
Kitchen and breakout areas were treated as social hubs with bar seating, pantry joinery, and finishes that match the reception standard. Employee wellbeing informed choices around daylight access, ergonomic furniture zones, and biophilic touches.
Our role extended through detailed drawings, material boards, and on-site supervision support — demonstrating the end-to-end commercial fit-out approach The Dubai Architect delivers for businesses across Dubai and the wider UAE.
Meeting rooms were sized for hybrid work, with camera-friendly layouts and acoustic treatment so teams can present to remote colleagues without distraction. The result is a workplace that feels premium yet practical for daily use.
Design approach
Workplace zoning was developed with the client's leadership team to balance collaboration, focus, and client-facing areas. We issued phased documentation so reception and public zones could be prioritised during fit-out.
Material samples were reviewed on site under real daylight conditions before final sign-off — an important step for offices with large glazing in Dubai's bright climate.
